C. Existing Water Conservation Measures In Place:

D. Potential For Water Conservation Upgrade:

PROGRAM:

It is the intent of Capitol Complex Facilities Division to
establish a program for compliance with HB 91-1154 (Water
Conservation Act of 1991) and to further instigate water
conservation measures at the Department level. Recognizing the
potential for long term cost savings, improved water quality, and
the need to protect the environment and the state's natural
resources, we have set goals and established criteria which we feel
will serve to support the state's desire to maximize water use
efficiency. The following objectives define ongoing procedures
for our Division:

1. Heighten awareness of the critical need to conserve this
resource as well as the role we as individuals can play
in the process. Establish operational procedures to:

a. Promote continuation of our current individual
building water audits;

b. Detect and correct system water leakage;

c. Monitor and upgrade water use efficiency of
equipment, systems and processes;

d. Meter, control and regulate our irrigation systems
to optimize efficiency;

e. utilize landscaping plant materials which support
the need to conserve water; and

f.

Repair and replace
consistent with the
under HB 91-1154.

water system
specifications

components
established
