Willows
Water District will continue to support the adopted Conservation Plan; however, according to the
contract with Denver Water, there are additional requirements. The details on these stipulations were
provided in the introductory section oftlUs plan. The four requirements that the Denver Water Board
insists upon coincide well with the conservation measures that Willows Water District intends to
pursue.

The nine water conservation measures were covered in detail within this Plan. The historical and
current efforts to conserve water have been described for each measure. Due to the District's
development situation, only five of the measures are considered feasible for the working Conservation
Plan. Therefore, the focus of the District is on the following:

.

Water Efficient Fixtures (#1)
Water Efficient Landscaping (#2)
Leak Detection and Repair (#5)
Water Conservation Education (#6)
Rate Structure (#7)

.

.

.

.

As seen in tlUs report, increasing awareness of the need for water conservation is of vita! importance.
While the District will work to encourage water conservation whenever possible, the consumers
within Willows Water District are ultimately responsible for preserving this precious resource and
setting an example for future generations.

16
