The District will promote wise <br />water use to all public and private sector customers through informational packets and water <br />consultations, if requested. The information packets will include techniques for auditing water <br />use, fmding leaks, and other recommendations pertinent to these customers. The program began . <br />in 1993 by providing information to all new public and private sector customers. Beginning in <br />1994, information packets will also be provided to existing public and private sector customers. <br /> <br />District Irrigation Upgrade Program. The District will continue to upgrade park and <br />open space irrigation operations as discussed in Chapter 5. This effort is ongoing. <br /> <br />Water Wasting Regulations. The District will cooperate with homeowner associations <br />and other interest groups to develop water wasting regulations to discourage the wasteful use of <br />water. This will be targeted for the Spring of 1995. . <br /> <br />Reclaimed Water Use. Based on previous studies, the District will seek: to utilize <br />reclaimed water as a source of irrigation for future open space development along the Marcy <br />Gulch. This opportunity will be revisited in a reclaimed water use update report targeted for. <br />1996. At that time, non-potable and potable use of reclaimed water will be evaluated as <br />applicable to the District's long range water supply management plan. <br /> <br />. Systemwide Use Reduction. The District has developed a systemwide use reduction <br />plan for reducing unaccounted for water use and potential water waste. The first phase of this <br />effort will be a meter verification program which began in 1993 and will test 700 meters in the <br />various customer sectors. <br /> <br />2J.6657 <br />
