<br />supporting agencies. The pamphlet will be available to all parents who have <br />children attending Oak Creek Elementary. Copies will also be given to individuals <br />and groups who have contributed to the success of the Center. The Center itself <br />will be the greatest means of sharing results. The public will be encouraged to <br />use the various facilities within the Center. A simple stroll through the Center <br />will introduce individuals to plants that are attractive and beneficial for water <br />conservation. People need to become aware of the land and its resources in order <br />to survive. The Center will assist students in developing awareness and skills <br />to make informed decisions. Research has shown that the transfer and retention <br />of information is greater when there is meaning, real life experiences, and a strong <br />foundation to build upon. This project has all three. The students of Oak Creek <br />will be aware of their environment and be able to make informed decisions in the <br />future. <br />
