As t know you aT-e aware. we are attempting <br />in these applications to preserve the natural environment to <br />a reasonable degree. and in doing so we are attempting only <br />to appropriate that amount of water which would be naturally <br />containad within the subject lakell. All in the previous <br />cases I have no objection to the inclusion of the language <br />you have suggested in your paragraph 6 of each objection, <br />however, I would believe .that it would be appropriate for <br />the Water Conservation Board.in these cases to request that <br />an additional sentence be added to your suggasted language, <br />as follows: "So long as said rights. operating principles <br />and amendments thereof do not requ1.re the artificial lowering <br />of the natural E1lev'ation of this lake." <br /> <br />While I don't believe we have applied for water rights on <br />any lakes that are directly involved in the Frying pan- <br />Arkansas project., I would hope that. we can insure that the <br />natural elevations are allowed to continue to exist. Through <br />these applications the Water Conservation Board in no way <br />intended to increase the existing lake levels or to provide <br />
