ENCLOSURE - INSTREAM FLOW RECOMMENDATIONS FOR CROSS CREEK <br /> Below is a description of the proposed instream flow. Additional details can be found in Attachments A- <br /> D. <br /> Location <br /> Cross Creek is located within the Upper Taylor Watershed (HUC-12: 140200010202) in Gunnison County, <br /> Water Division 4.The headwaters form on the north side of Cross Mountain. Cross Creek flows north to <br /> the confluence with the Lottis Creek, a tributary to the Taylor Fork of the Gunnison River.The Cross <br /> Creek Watershed is 1.89 square miles and is on the Taylor Park Reservoir and Fairview Peak United <br /> States Geologic Survey quad maps (Attachment A). <br /> The stream segment identified for the proposed instream flow appropriation is approximately 2.28 miles <br /> long from its headwaters to the confluence with Lottis Creek. <br /> Table 1. The riparian corridor ownership percentages were estimated using stream length. <br /> The Cross Creek watershed is approximately 97 percent public land managed by the United States Forest <br /> Service (USFS).The riparian corridor of the proposed segment is all public land managed by the USFS. <br /> Existing Instream Flow Rights <br /> Cross Creek does not have an existing instream flow water right. <br /> Water Availability <br /> Physical Availability <br /> Cross Creek does not have a gage.The nearest downstream gage is the Taylor River at Almont; with a <br /> period of record of 1986 to present(USGS ID=09110000). <br /> Legal Availability <br /> There are no diversions on Cross Creek. A water rights search on Colorado's Decision Support System <br /> (CDSS) did not identify any existing water rights on Cross Creek. However,there is a privately held <br />
