Formal requisites of financing statement - <br />amendments - mortgage as financing statement. (1) (a) A financing <br />statement is sufficient if it ~ CONTAINS the names of the <br />debtor and the secured party, is sigRea ey the deeter, gives an <br />address of the secured party from which information concerning the <br />security interest may be obtained, ~ a mailing address of the <br />debtor, and ceRtaiRs a statement indicating the. types, or <br />describing the items of collateral. Where a filiRg is made with <br />thc secretary ef stato,A financing statement must contain the <br />social security number of the debtor or, in the case of a debtor <br />doing business other than as an individual, the federal internal <br />revenue service taxpayer identification number of such debtor. A <br />fi nanci ng statement may be fi 1 ed before a security agreement is <br />made or a securityi nterest otherwi se attaches. When the fi nanc i ng <br />statement covers crops growing or to be grown, the statement must <br />also contain a description of th~ real .state concerned. . <br /> <br />. (b). When the financing statement covers timber to be cut or <br />covers mineral s or other substances of val uewhich may be <br />extracted from the earth, or accounts subject to subsection (5) <br />of section 4-9-103, or when the financing statement.is filed as <br />a fixture filing (section 4-9-313) and the collateral is goods <br />which are,or are to become fixtures, .the state~ent must also <br />comply with subsection (5) of this section.
