Powers, Strickland, and Zakhem; <br />also REPRESENTATIVES Younglund, Paulson, Armstrong, Boley, <br />Hastings, Heim, Herzog, Hinman, Joh'nson, Lillpop, Massari, <br />Mielke, Robb, Sullivan, Underwood, and Webb. <br /> <br />CONCERNING WATER CONSERVATION, AND RELATING TO ACTIVITIES <br />THEREFOR OF THE COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD. <br /> <br />Be it enacted ~ the General ,Assembly of the ~ of Colorado: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. 37-60-104 (1), Colorado Revised Statutes 1973, <br />is amended,to read: <br /> <br />37-60-104. PersonneL (1) The board, shall consist of <br />thirteen members. The executive director of the department of <br />natural resources SHALL BE A VOTING MEMBER' EX OFFICIO. THE <br />attorney general, state engineer, and director of said board <br />shall be NONVOTING members ex officio. The nine remaining <br />members _,_ shall be qualified electors of the state, well-versed in <br />water matters, and shall be appointed by the governor for terms <br />of three years. The appointments- shall be made in such a manner <br />that the terms of three members shall expire on'May 12 of each <br />year. The, members of said board who were appointed and are now <br />serving as such members shall continue to serve as such members. <br />In case a vacancy occurs in the appointed membership of the board <br />by death, resignation, or otherwise, the governor shall appoint a <br />successor to serve the unexpired term of any member of the board. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. 37-60-119 (2), Colorado Revised Statutes 1973, <br />as amended, is amended to read: <br /> <br />37-60-119. Construction of water and ower facilities - <br />contracts with an ' c arges agalns users. ne oar may <br />enter into contracts for the use of sald flood control, water, <br /> <br />Capital letters indicate new material added to existing statutes; <br />dashes through words indicate deletions from existing statutes and <br />such material not part of act.
