Increases the fees <br />required for examination and approval of plans and <br />specifications for reservoirs. <br />Authorizes the state engineer to require owners of <br />reservoirs to report certain information on their reservoirs. <br />including operations and any unusual circumstances. <br />Specifies that the state engineer shall make periodic <br />inspections of reservoirs and may require owners to make <br />necessary repairs. <br />Authorizes the state engineer to take immediate remedial <br />action to protect life or property if necessary and to assume <br />control of unsafe reservoirs until they are made safe. <br />Allows a reservoir owner to request, at his expense, the <br />opinion of a consulting board on certain decisions of the <br />state engineer. <br />Grants injunctive power to the state engineer to prohibit <br />unlawful acts and increases the per diem penalty for <br />violations. <br />Creates a joint underwriting association which will offer <br /> <br />15 <br /> <br />Capital letters indicate new material to be added to existing statllte. <br />Dashes through the words indicate deletions from existing statute. <br />
