AMENDING THE "WAtER RIGHT DETERMINATION AND ADMINISTRATION ACT

Conforms the fees for water court filings to district
court filing fees and requires applicant to pay certain costs;
amends the .procedures for water referees' determinations,
publication of. applications, and filing .of statements of
opposition and protests; requires additional information for
change of water right and plan for augmentation applications;
amends the procedure for applications involving wells; amends
standards for grant of a water right; clarifies the
legislative intent that water be used in priority and requires
water use in priority or under plan for augmentation; and
amends the authority of the state engineer to require
discontinuance of water use. .

SECTION 1. 37-92-302(1) (c), (1) (d), (2), (3) (a), (3)

5 (b), and (4), Colorado Revised Statutes 1973, as amended, are

6 amended to read:
