Allows other local governments located in Arapahoe or Douglas
county to petition to the board of directors for inclusion in the district.
Specifies that the district's board will consist of one commissioner each
from the Douglas and Arapahoe county boards of county commissioners,
one representative from each of the 4 largest members, and one director
representing the other members, Directs the district to pursue the
acquisition of long-term renewable surface water resources and other
water resources to use within the district in conjunction with the Denver

II ON GROUND WATER SUPPLIES IN THE DENVER BASIN AQUIFERS AND
12 FRACTURED GRANITE AQUIFERS, COUPLED WITH PROJECTED GROWTH AND
13 INCREASING NEEDS FOR RELIABLE, RENEW ABLE WATER SUPPLIES, MAKE IT
14 IMPERATIVE THAT LOCAL GOVERNMENTS BE PROVIDED WITH AN
15 ORGANIZATION THROUGH WHICH THEY CAN CONSULT AND WORK
16 TOGETHER TO ENSURE THE BEST CONSERVATION AND RESOURCE
