"URBAN SERVICE" <br /> <br />INCLUDES BUT [S NOT LIMITED TO: THE PROVISION OF SANITARY SEWERS <br /> <br />AND THE COLLECTION AND TREATMENT OF SEWAGE; THE PROVISION OF <br /> <br />WATER LINES AND TIlE PUMPING AND TREATMENT OF WATER; POLICE <br /> <br />PROTECTION; ELECTRIC AND NATURAL GAS FACILITIES AND <br /> <br />TELECOMMUNICATION LINES; PUBLIC SCHOOLS; FIRE PROTECTION AND <br /> <br />OTHER EMERGENCY SERVICES; PARKS, RECREATION, AND OPEN SPACE; <br /> <br />STREETS AND ROADS; MASS TRANSIT; STORMWATER MANAGEMENT OR <br /> <br />FLOOD CONTROL; AND OTHER ACTIVITIES, FACILITIES, AND UTILITIES OF AN <br /> <br />URBAN NATURE THAT ARE NECESSARY FOR, OR TO FACILITATE, URBAN <br /> <br />GROWTH. <br /> <br />(ee) "URBAN SERVICE AREA" MEANS AN AREA DELINEATED IN AN <br /> <br />ADOPTED MASTER PLAN PREPARED PURSUANT TO THIS ARTICLE WITHIN <br /> <br />WHICH URBAN GROWTH IS ENCOURAGED BY DELINEATION OF THE AREA, <br /> <br />COMPATIBLE FUTURE LAND USES DESIGNATIONS, AND IMPLEMENTING <br />ACTIONS, AND OUTSIDE OF WHICH URBAN GROWTH IS NOT PERMITTED, IN <br /> <br />ADDITION TO URBAN GROWTH, AN URBAN SERVICE AREA MAY CONTAIN <br /> <br />-17- <br /> <br />148 <br />
