<br />2004 <br /> <br /> <br />SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION 04-004 <br /> <br />BY SENATOR(S) Entz, Chlouber, Grossman, Hanna, Isgar, Taylor, Teck, <br />Tupa, and Veiga; <br />also REPRESENTATIVE(S) Hoppe, Merrifield, Miller, Rippy, Rose, <br />Salazar, Smith, Spradley, Williams T., Witwer, and Young, <br /> <br />CONCERNING ADDITIONS AND MODIFICATIONS TO THE <br />DRINKING WATER REVOLVING FUND PROJECT ELIGIBILITY <br />LIST. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Pursuant to section 37-95-107,8, Colorado Revised <br />Statutes, the Drinking Water Revolving Fund has been created in the <br />Colorado Water Resources and Power Development Authority <br />("Authority") to provide financial assistance for certain drinking water <br />supply projects; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Pursuant to section 37-95-103 (4,8), Colorado Revised <br />Statutes, in order to quality for financial assistance from the Drinking Water <br />Revolving Fund, proposed projects must be included on the Drinking Water <br />Project Eligibility List; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Pursuant to section 37-95-107,8 (4 ) (b), Colorado Revised <br />Statutes, the Division of Administration in the Department of Public Health <br />and Environment, in conjunction with the State Board of Health, has <br />proposed additions and modifications to the Drinking Water Project <br />Eligibility List; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The provision of financial assistance from the Drinking <br />Water Revolving Fund to the proposed projects will preserve, protect, <br />conserve, and develop the water resources of the state; promote the <br />beneficial use ofthe waters ofthe state and the protection and preservation <br />of the public health, safety, and welfare; create and preserve jobs and <br />employment opportunities; and improve the economic welfare of the people <br />of the state; and <br />
