<br />Company, and the Colorado River Water Conservation District have collaborated as well to donate hundreds of <br />acre-feet of water to assist in relieving the drought conditions; and <br />WHEREAS, The volunteer efforts by these public and private entities and others will provide enormous, <br />immediate benefit to the ranchers, farmers, firefighters, households, communities, and businesses suffering from <br />the drought; now, therefore, <br />Be It Resolved by the House of Representatives of the Sixty-third General Assembly of the State of <br />Colorado, the Senate concurring herein: <br />1. That the General Assembly commends the collaborative volunteer efforts undertaken by private <br />industry and federal, state, and local governments to assist in relieving our drought-stricken Western Slope. <br />2. That the General Assembly urges other public and private entities to engage in the same collective <br />efforts as shown by the entities referenced herein. <br />Be it further resolved, That copies of this Joint Resolution be sent to ExxonMobil Corporation, the <br />Middle Park Water Conservancy District, the Ruedi Water and Power Authority, the Basalt Water Conservancy <br />District, the Town of Carbondale, the City of New Castle, the City of Rifle, the Bureau of Reclamation, the <br />Redlands Water and Power Authority, Xcel Energy, the Orchard Mesa Irrigation District, the Grand Valley Water <br />Users Association, Grand Valley Irrigation Company, and the Colorado River Water Conservation District. <br />
