<br />" <br /> <br />. <br />'J <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />, . <br /> <br />Revised Statutes 1973, as amended, is ;mended BY THE ADDITION OF <br />A NEW SECTION to read: <br /> <br />39-26-123,1. Credit of sales and use tax receipts to <br />Colorado water conservation board construction fund - terminates <br />July 1, 1982. (1) Notwithstanding the provisions of section <br />39-26-123 (2) (c) (I) (A), (2) (c) (I) (B), and (2) (c) (I) (C), <br />the following amounts out of net revenue from sales and use taxes <br />which otherwise would be credited to the general fund shall be <br />credited to the Colorado water conservation board construction <br />fund created by section 37-60-121, C.R.S. 1973: <br /> <br />(a) For the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1979, eight <br />million dollars; <br /> <br />(b) For the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1980, ten million <br />do 11 a rs ; <br /> <br />(c) For the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1981, ten million <br />dollars. <br /> <br />(2) This saction is repealed effective July 1, 1982. <br /> <br />SECTION 4. Project authorizations. (1) Pursuant to section <br />37-60-122, Colorado Revised Statutes 1973, there are hereby <br />authorized to be constructed from such funds as may become <br />available to the Colorado water conservation board construction <br />fund, in the priority listed as nearly as practicable and with <br />the sums of money listed, plus or minus such amounts, if any, as <br />may be justified by unforeseen circumstances or by reason of <br />ordinary fluctuations in land values and construction costs as <br />indicated by cost indices applicable to the type of projects <br />involved, the following projects: <br /> <br />Project <br />Chatfield Project Channel <br />Improvement <br />Closed Basin <br />Beaver Park <br />Larkspur <br />Rio Grande Reservoir <br /> <br />Amount <br /> <br />Total <br /> <br />$2,500,000 <br />500 ,000 ~ <br />1,500,000 <br />200,000 <br />90,000, <br />$4,790,000 <br /> <br />(2) The Chatfield project channel improvement and the Rio <br />Grande Reservoir project authorized by this section shall be <br />constructed as first priorities from the first moneys made <br />available to the Colorado water conservation board construction <br />fund pursuant to section 39-26-123,1, Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1973. The funds made available for the Chatfield project channel <br />improvement may be expended only through a contract with the <br />United States by which the United States agrees to provide not <br />less than one-half of the total C0St of said channel improvement. <br /> <br />PAGE 3-SENATE BILL NO. 537 <br />
