<br />and that such project must be approved by the general assembly before <br />it can receive construction funding fmm the CWRPDA. Repeals the <br />provisions that set forth the requirements for a feasibility study for a <br />proposed water project that receives c~nstruction funding. <br />Repeals the requirement that in 'order to consider the funding of a <br />major multipurpose water project in western Colorado to store water for <br />the development of western Colorado, a maj or multipurpose water project <br />for the Denver area on the South Platte river upstream from Chatfield <br />reservoir, or a major multipurpose water project to regulate and store the <br />waters of the South Platte river or it~ tributaries, the CWRPDA shall <br />simultaneously consider the funding of all 3 projects. <br />Repeals the requirement that the CWRPDA make an annual report <br />to the CWCB. <br />Makes conforming amendments. <br /> <br />I Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Colorado: <br />2 SECTION 1. 37-60-106 (1), Colorado Revised Statutes, IS <br />3 amended BY THE ADDITION OF A NEW PARAGRAPH to read: <br /> <br />4 <br /> <br />37-60-106. Duties of the board. (I) It is the duty of the board <br /> <br />5 to promote the conservation of the Waters of the state of Colorado in <br /> <br />6 order to secure the greatest utilization of such waters and the utmost <br /> <br />7 prevention of floods; and in particular, and without limiting the general <br /> <br />8 character of this section, the board has the power and it is its duty: <br /> <br />9 <br /> <br />(s) To ENTER INTO ONE OR MORE AGREEMENTS WITH THE <br /> <br />10 COLORADO WATER RESOURCES AND POWER DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY <br /> <br />11 AND ANY OTHER ENTITlES TO ASSIST IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE WATER <br /> <br /> <br />12 RESOURCES OF THE STATE. <br /> <br />13 SECTION 2. 37-95-106 (I), Colorado Revised Statutes, is <br />14 amended BY THE ADDITION OF A NEW PARAGRAPH to read: <br />15 37-95-106. Authority - power~.
