The Town relies on <br /> surface water from the Project 7 Water Authority cooperative they share with six <br /> other users. Over the past five years, Olathe has averaged 261 acre feet of retail <br /> water deliveries to their customers. By 2022, the Town estimates the water demand <br /> will be 309 acre feet. The Town estimates it wilt grow by 2.2% through 2030' <br /> The potential water savings goal of this plan is to lower the per capita water demands <br /> by at least 10% over a ten year period. This would decrease projected 2030 water <br /> demands from 369 AF per year to 329 AF per year for a total of 40 AF per year. <br /> The total cost of the project is $41,000' Olathe is committing 27% matching funds in <br /> the form of $7,287'60 of in-kind services and $3,721.40 in cash. CWCB staff has <br /> reviewed and evaluated the grant application and has determined that the proposal <br /> meets or exceeds the CWCB guidelines for reviewing grant proposals.
