ECCV's source of retail water comes
from groundwater and over the past five years, its retail delivery has been 7,730 acre-feet
per year. Water demand is projected to be over 11,000 acre-feet per year by 2022 based on
population growth resulting in new developments being built in their service area.
One of ECCV's future conservation programs will be using meter software to engage their
customers to use less water. ECCV plans to use this software for single family residential
users. Depending on the adoption rate of their customers, savings could be up to 5% reduction
in water use.
The total cost of the prject is $47,137. ECCV is committing 38.8% matching funds in
the form of $18,312 of in-kind services. CWCB staff has reviewed and evaluated the
grant application and has determined that the proposal meets or exceeds the CWCB
guidelines for reviewing grant proposals.
