Name of Project/Item <br /> PROPOSED PROJECT JUSTIFICATION <br /> Item/Activity: Name of Project/Item <br /> State: Self explanatory <br /> Project Manager: Reclamation Project Manager <br /> Federal Project or Program: What Reclamation work is this related to?? <br /> Legislative Authority: What authority(public law) do we have to do this work (if known) <br /> Origination Date: Original Date Justification was prepared <br /> Revision Date: Date and Short Description of Revision to Original (if this is a <br /> modification to the original proposal). <br /> Estimated Cost: Include contract, contract preparation, design, studies, etc. <br /> Project Type: Replacement, Addition, Extraordinary Maintenance, Water Management, <br /> Description of Item: One to several paragraphs describing the proposed activity and of <br /> adequate content. Provide enough detail so someone unfamiliar with the project can determine <br /> the project's scope of work. <br /> Construction/Installation Schedule: Identify any critical schedule dates such as seasonal <br /> construction window, scheduled outages, recreation concerns, compliance reviews, etc. <br /> Condition: Explain in one or two paragraphs why the work is required. Explain why the work <br /> needs to be done when proposed. <br /> Cost Effectiveness: Was an economic analysis done? If so, identify results. <br /> Benefits: Enter the tangible benefits of the project affected by this work item(e.g., cost <br /> estimates from recent economic studies). <br /> Alternatives Considered: Describe alternatives considered and results. <br /> Recommended Alternative: State recommended alternative. <br /> Impacts if Schedule Delayed: State possible consequences of not funding the proposed work. <br /> Page 1 of 1 <br />
