c.) Support augmentation planning and implementation of solutions for water short areas of
the Upper North Fork Basin(minimize SWSI 2010 in basin gap)
4.) Support activities related to Silver Jack Reservoir and Bostwick Park WCD system
(pursuant to environmental compliance (i.e., Gunnison Basin Programmatic
Biological Opinion;PRO), water conservation activities,consumptive use,quality of
water and water conservation activities, including,but not limited to:
a.) Support the design and implementation of remote control and automation at the outlet of
Silver Jack Reservoir to help manage 1 bypass early season Cimarron River flows to help
meet spring peak flow recommendations on mainstem(and thereby conserve water in the
Aspinall Unit),precise estimates have not been made but should be comparable to Paonia
Reservoir outlet gate automation estimated to be approximately$70,000.
b.) Support the design and implementation Cimarron canal improvements including lining
and stabilization(no estimate available at present);
c.) Support the design and implementation of Bostwick Park WCD water efficiency planning
efforts including on-farm system delivery and application improvement to reduce deep
percolation and to achieve water conservation goals and objectives,this is to be in
conjunction with or in place of item#1.
5.) Support activities related to Crawford Reservoir and Crawford WCD system
(pursuant to environmental compliance (Le., Gunnison Basin Programmatic
Biological Opinion;PRO), water conservation activities,consumptive use,quality of
water and water conservation activities, including,but not limited to:
a.) Support the design and implementation of lining and modernization of related delivery
structures for project water(e.g.,Smith Fork feeder canal,Aspen Canal,Clipper system),
no verified estimate,rule of thumb:up to$200k per mile)
b.) Support the design and implementation of Crawford WCD water efficiency planning
efforts including on-farm system delivery and application improvement to reduce deep
percolation and to achieve water conservation goals and objectives esp.in seleniferous
areas(e.g.,Iron and Alum Creek sub basins);this is to be in conjunction with or in place
of item#1.
6.) Support activities related to Fruitgrowers Reservoir and OCID system(pursuant to
environmental compliance (Le., Gunnison Basin Programmatic Biological Opinion;
PBO), water conservation activities,consumptive use,quality of water and water
conservation activities, including,but not limited to:
a.) Assistance with water quality issues(e.g.,E-Coli and/or nutrients,low DO)
b.) Support p anning and implementation efforts including on-and off-farm system delivery
improvement to reduce deep percolation and to achieve water conservation goals and
objectives(no estimate available at present)
7.) Support activities related Grand Mesa Project and GMWCD system(pursuant to
environmental compliance (Le., Gunnison Basin Programmatic Biological Opinion;
PBO),water conservation activities,consumptive use,quality of water and water
conservation activities, including,but not limited to:
