Army <br /> • 2 Corps of Engineers did not operate for flood control <br /> 3 at Trinidad, John Martin, or Pueblo Reservoirs in <br /> 4 2013 . <br /> 5 Work on various projects with basin sponsors <br /> 6 within the U. S . Army Corps of Engineers mission <br /> 7 areas has continued in 2013 and I will highlight a <br /> 8 few : <br /> 9 The development of the John Martin Dam <br /> 10 Elevation-Area-Capacity tables were completed in <br /> 11 early 2013 and forwarded to the interested parties <br /> 12 for review and comment . No issues arose from these <br /> • 13 reviews and the tables were implemented on November <br /> 14 1st of this year . <br /> 15 The U . S . Army Corps of Engineers Albuquerque <br /> 16 District , at the request of the City of Trinidad and <br /> 17 the Purgatoire River Water Conservancy District , <br /> 18 reviewed proposed amendments to the Trinidad Lake <br /> 19 Operating Principles . The proposed amendments will <br /> 20 allow the City of Trinidad to use water stored in <br /> 21 the City ' s account on lands within the Purgatoire <br /> 22 River Basin at or above Trinidad Lake . This <br /> 23 preliminary review looked at potential impacts the <br /> 24 amendments would have on lake operations , the <br /> 25 environment , and cultural sites at the project . <br />
