Zinno <br /> Subdivison, a small subdivision in eastern Pueblo County, is in the process of being <br /> annexed into the SCWMD service area due to outdated infrastructure and water quality <br /> issues it has with their current water provider. SCWMD is pursuing state and local <br /> funds from Pueblo County, Department of Local Affairs and Colorado Water Resouces <br /> a Power Development Authority to improve the infrastructure and provide reliable <br /> water supply to the residents in the Zinno Subdivision. SCWMD is requesting grant <br /> funding to share the cost of purchasing 100 Automated Meter Reading water meters. <br /> The total cost of the project is $1,138,587. SCWMD is committing 96% matching funds <br /> in the form of $1,088,637 in cash/other funding sources. CWCB staff has reviewed and <br /> evaluated the grant application and has determined that the proposal meets or <br /> exceeds the CWCB guidelines for reviewing grant proposals.
