A DNR COLORADO <br /> ' <br /> CO 1 Colorado Water <br /> Conservation Board <br /> Department of Natural Resources <br /> 1313 Sherman Street, Room 721 <br /> Denver, CO 80203 <br /> Memorandum <br /> To: Tom Browning, Deputy Direct9r.-----7:-- <br /> From: Becky Mitchell 0,12--<\.) <br /> Kevin Reidy Et Ben W de <br /> Water Supply Planning <br /> Date: February 26, 2016 <br /> Subject: Water Efficiency Grant Fund Recommendation for the Bow Mar Water a Sanitation <br /> District <br /> Recommendation: <br /> The Water Supply Planning staff recommends that Tom Browning, Deputy Director, <br /> approve a Water Efficiency Grant to implement a Meter Replacement Project in the <br /> amount of $36,601.84 for the Bow Mar Water Et Sanitation District. <br /> Summary of Grant Application <br /> Bow Mar Water Et Sanitation District is a non-covered entity located in the Metro Basin. <br /> The District is a master meter distributor of Denver Water Et is covered under the <br /> Denver Water Efficiency plan which was updated in June 2015. The District is planning <br /> to replace 233 existing meters with Automatic Meter Reading water meters and wilt <br /> also rehabilitate 60 existing meters to accommodate for automatic meter reading. The <br /> new meters will allow a more accurate accounting of the individual customer water <br /> usage and will also allow the District to better understand how much water is being <br /> lost through leaks. In addition to grant funds, the District will also be using CWCB loan <br /> funds to complete the project. <br /> The total cost of the project is $366,018.43. Bow Mar is committing 90% matching <br /> funds in the form of $329,416.59 in cash. CWCB staff has reviewed and evaluated the <br /> grant application and has determined that the proposal meets or exceeds the CWCB <br /> guidelines for reviewing grant proposals.
