'//" <br /> � /' /� "-- . /. <br /> From: Becky Mitchell /,/`^~' <br /> Kevin Reidy ü Ben Wade <br /> Water Supply Planning <br /> Date: April 27, 2016 <br /> Subject: Water Efficiency Grant Fund Recommendation for the Metropolitan State University of <br /> Denver One World One Water Center <br /> Recommendation: <br /> The Water Supply Planning staff recommends that Tom Browning, Deputy Director, <br /> approve a Water Efficiency Grant to create a Colorado Water Cotlaboratory in the <br /> amount of $26,738 for the Metropolitan State University of Denver One World One <br /> Water Center. <br /> Summary of Grant Application <br /> The Colorado Water Collaboratory is a partnership between Metropolitan State <br /> University of Denver, Denver Water, Colorado Mesa University, the City of Grand <br /> Junction, the University of Colorado Boulder and the City of Boulder. The purpose is <br /> utilize the three university campuses as "living laboratories" for water efficiency for <br /> new technology testing, public awareness assessment and behavior change. <br /> The outcomes from the Colorado Water Collaboratory pject include improved water <br /> use efficiencies at all three universities, transferring the technology and information <br /> from the campus to individual homes of students, faculty and university staff. <br /> The total cost of the project is $35,698' MSUD is committing 25% matching funds in the <br /> form of $8,960 of in-kind services. CWCB staff has reviewed and evaluated the grant <br /> application and has determined that the proposal meets or exceeds the CWCB <br /> guidelines for reviewing grant proposals.
