EXHIBIT A—STATEMENT OF WORK 1
1. PARTIES
This Contract(hereinafter called"Contract")is entered into by and between San Luis Valley Irrigation District,
located at 269 Miles ST,Center CO, 81125, (hereinafter called"Contractor"),and the STATE OF
COLORADO acting by and through the Department of Natural Resources Colorado Water Conservation Board,
located at 1313 Sherman ST#723,Denver CO, 80203 (hereinafter called the"State"or"CWCB"). Contractor
and the State hereby agree to the following terms and conditions.
2. EFFECTIVE DATE AND NOTICE OF NONLIABILITY
This Contract shall not be effective or enforceable until it is approved and signed by the Colorado State
Controller or designee(hereinafter called the"Effective Date").The State shall not be liable to pay or reimburse
Contractor for any performance hereunder including,but not limited to,costs or expenses incurred,or be bound
by any provision hereof prior to the Effective Date.
3. RECITALS
A. Authority,Appropriation,and Approval
Authority to enter into this Contract exists in C.R.S. 39-29-109(X)(A)and funds have been budgeted,
appropriated and otherwise made available pursuant to SB 12S-002(11)and a sufficient unencumbered
balance thereof remains available for payment. Required approvals, clearance and coordination have been
accomplished from and with appropriate agencies.
