RECEIVED <br /> MAY 2 3 2007 DRAFT 05/21/07 <br /> Colorado Water Conservation Board <br /> River Protection Workgroup Steering Committee Meeting <br /> May 3, 2007 <br /> In attendance in person were Scott Brinton, Ann Brown, Steve Fearn, Chuck Lawler, <br /> Mark Stiles, Janice Sheftel, John Taylor, Bruce Whitehead, Jeff Widen and facilitator, <br /> Marsha Porter-Norton. <br /> Hermosa Creek <br /> 1 & 2. Hermosa Creek, and all tributaries, ending at USFS boundary, are to be reviewed <br /> even though USFS did not consider 4 of the 13 3rd order or higher tributaries to be <br /> eligible for WSR designation <br /> Most of sweep area is within most roadless Rule 2001 boundaries and managed under <br /> this rule <br /> • 160 acres of private land in the sweep area, for which a land exchange is being <br /> considered between USFS and Purgatory <br /> • Three Sisters Ditch, a private water right on the 160 Acres, is included in sweep <br /> area <br /> 4. ORVs and other values <br /> • ORVs include recreational use and Colorado River cutthroat trout conservation, <br /> because of naturally isolated side tributaries <br /> • Is the 1/4 mile area for WSR status horizontal or vertical? <br /> Recreation Uses <br />
