As we discussed,the
Steering Committee of the Workgroup would very much appreciate financial assistance in the
amount of$15,000 from the Colorado Water Conservation Board for the first steps of the process
to be undertaken in the first half of this year. The process will require financial assistance,
principally for a facilitator and the refinement of the design of the Workgroup process, but also
for meeting facilities, data collection and archiving, process documentation and various types of
notifications.
The Steering Committee is also requesting initial financial assistance from the Southwestern
Water Conservation District. Once the process is underway, the Workgroup anticipates
requesting financial assistance from the U.S.Forest Service, local environmental groups and the
Division of Local Affairs.
Sincerely,
MAYNES,BRADFORD, SHIPPS SAN JUAN CITIZENS ALLIANCE
AND SHEFTEL,LLP
Janice C.
