It may change <br /> depending on the proceedings <br /> Values&Learning and wishes of the group. <br /> Meeting #2(July 2011) <br /> • Continue to review basic information <br /> • Discussion of the values on the Animas River <br /> Meeting #3(August 2011) <br /> • Values statement is started <br /> • Continued list of issues,opportunities and concerns (this continues throughout the <br /> process) <br /> Meeting #4,#5 and #6(September,October and November) <br /> • Values statement is finished (consensus check) <br /> • Education: a)Water 101 b) River Protection Tools(including Wild and Scenic River <br /> information) and/or c)Water quality and the ARS <br /> • Field Trip? <br /> Protection Tools <br /> Meetings#7 and#8(December 2011 and January 2012) <br /> • Discussion of protection tools <br /> • Discussion:Are the current proms tools that are in place sufficient to protect the <br /> values? If not, what additional ideas should be considered? If there is consensus that <br /> the existing tools are not sufficient,the group will cover options for the future and <br /> develop a list of additional tools. <br /> Note: If existing tools are deemed to be adequate,the process wraps up here. <br /> There would be several more meetings for report finalization. <br /> Analyzing Tools(if existing tools are deemed not to be adequate)&Developing <br /> Recommendations <br /> Meeting #9 and #10 (February and March), <br /> • Group defines criteria to analyze tools; group compares each tool to the criteria and <br /> completes a Pro/Con analysis of additional proposed protection tools <br /> • Discussion and consensus building (group will go through a series of discussions and <br /> exercises to determine if there is consensus on recommendations) <br /> • Sum of Any Recommendations <br /> Possibly n • (Group may wish to form Drafting Committee if necessary) <br /> may need Report writing starts Re writin <br /> additional • <br /> meetings • Determine any items that are part of the"regional discussion" <br /> Report and Concluding Group <br /> Meeting #11(April) <br /> • Finalize recommendations into a report <br /> • Write report and get agreement on it & Define next steps <br />
