Since its inception, the Upper Colorado River Wild and Scenic Alternative process has relied on
cash and in-kind contributions from stakeholders, leveraged by CWCB funding at critical points
in the process. Since October 2009, participating stakeholders have contributed more than
$40,000 in cash and significant in-kind services.
We are respectfully requesting$25,000 from the Colorado Water Conservation Board Wild and
Scenic Rivers Act Alternatives Fund to pay for the Stakeholder Groups' focused efforts that will
take place over the next several months. These funds will enable the Stakeholder Group to
accomplish the work plan outlined in the attached cost summary, and will provide the support
needed to resolve the remaining issues in a timely fashion.
The Stakeholder Group is acutely aware and very appreciative of the support we have received
from the state throughout this process. We depend on the financial support provided by CWCB
and the meaningful engagement demonstrated by you and others, and we are looking forward
to a successful outcome.
Respectfully submitted,
Rob Buirgy, Project Manager
Upper CO River Wild & Scenic Alternative
