Conservation Board <br /> Department of Natural Resources <br /> 1313 Sherman Street, Room 721 <br /> Denver, CO 80203 <br /> Memorandum <br /> To: Tom Browning, Assistant Director / / <br /> From: Becky Mitchell P9a-� �' ' C/ Di��'otii r Z f, <br /> Kevin Reidy a Ben Wade I <br /> Water Supply Planning <br /> Date: June 25, 2015 <br /> Subject: Water Efficiency Grant Fund Recommendation for the Town of Windsor <br /> Recommendation: <br /> The Water Supply Planning staff recommends that Tom Browning, Assistant Director, <br /> approve a Water Efficiency Grant to update a Water Conservation Plan in the amount <br /> of $41,084.80 for the Town of Windsor. <br /> Summary of Grant Application <br /> The Water Supply Planning staff received a Water Efficiency Grant application from <br /> the Town of Windsor requesting $41,084.80 to update its current Water Conservation <br /> Plan. <br /> The Town of Windsor is a non-covered entity in the South Platte Basin and has a Water <br /> Conservation Plan (July 2009) on file with the CWCB. Windsor has not delivered over <br /> 2,000 AF/year since 2012. Despite the not being listed as a covered entity, the Town <br /> grew 5.4% in 2014 and is still forecasted to grow 2% through 2025. The Town has many <br /> ongoing efficiency measures and programs in place. If the updated Plan is fully <br /> implemented, the estimated water savings goal for this plan is to the lower the total <br /> water use by 10%. <br /> The total cost of the project is $54,827.70. Windsor is committing 25% matching funds <br /> in the form of $2,750 in cash U $10,992.90 of in-kind services. CWCB staff has <br /> reviewed and evaluated the grant application and has determined that the proposal <br /> meets or exceeds the CWCB guidelines for reviewing grant proposals.
