Goals of project are to increase flow conveyance, <br /> decrease flooding potential and increase wildlife habitat. PVWMA has coordinated partners in <br /> Lincoln, Dawson, Buffalo, Hall, Merrick, Hamilton and Polk counties in 2014-15 to continue <br /> Phragmites control efforts. <br /> Platte Valley Weed Management Area is requesting $200,000.00 from the Platte River Recovery <br /> implementation Program for control, removal and monitoring of invasive vegetation within <br /> Platte River channels and its tributaries in Lincoln, Dawson, Buffalo, and Hall counties. PRRIP <br /> funds will be used as match to existing funds.
