On behalf of the E.N. Thompson Forum on World Issues, thank you for your generous support of the
lecture by Bill McKibben in our"Activism" speaker series.
Mr. McKibben committed to deliver his lecture, The Climate Fight at Its Peak, on October 6, 2015 at 7pm
at the Lied Center for Performing Arts. The lecture will be free and open to the public, with general
admission seating on a first-come, first-served basis.
I am still working with Mr. McKibben on the details of his visit. Our hope is to offer you and a small group
of your guests special access to Mr. McKibben during a reception and Q&A prior to his lecture, possibly,
from 5:30-6:30 pm.
L
In exchange for your$1,000 in financial support and promotion of this event among your supporters and
contacts, the Platte River Recovery Implementation Program will receive credit as a co-sponsor at the
lecture and in event-specific promotion. In June, I plan to provide you with a save-the-date flyer for
electronic circulation and, by early fall, I will send you electronic flyers and social media links to
share. Over the summer, I will solicit your mailing list in order to send your program's supporters
hardcopy mailers as well.
Again, thank you. We are thrilled to partner with you to bring Mr. McKibben and his important message to
Nebraska.
Katie
Katie Bodie Cervantes.M.A.
Coordinator, E.N.Thompson Forum on World Issues
University of Nebraska
402-472-0074 I kcervantes2(o7unl.edu I ENThompson.unl.edu I Facebook I Twitter
•
2
