• • <br /> • Communication with CWCB personnel regarding extending contract schedule for WSRA and <br /> general information,contracts,and deliverables related to Lease Fallow Tool. <br /> • Communication with SECWCD personnel,Bob Hamilton,regarding historical purchases of Fry-Ark <br /> Project water by irrigation companies.Review historical records for ultimate incorporation into <br /> StateMod model. <br /> • Meeting with Division 2 Reservoir Operations Coordinator and review of Division 2 file information <br /> related to historical Winter Water storage records that had not been digitized.Collect and copy <br /> historical paper records. <br /> • Review WSRA file information provided to Jay Winner by Adaptive Resources Inc.Copy and <br /> forward information to client,water counsel and Martin Woods Consultants. <br /> • Gather and review available engineering reports related to off-channel reservoir system operations <br /> (e.g.,2010 Colorado Beef—Ullom Fort Lyon change case report; late-1980s/early 1990s Kansas- <br /> Colorado Compact analyses;2010 Aqua Engineering report; 1994 Gronning Fort Lyon Water <br /> Transfer Alternatives report;late-1990s USGS Fort Lyon Canal report; 1985 Wheeler Colorado <br /> Canal report; 1983 Tipton&Kalmbach Fort Lyon Rehabilitation report)and discuss the analyses <br /> with various entities(e.g.,DWR Div 1 and Div 2;Helton&Williamsen,Leonard Rice Engineers, <br /> Applegate Group,Wilson Water Group <br /> • Detailed analysis of operations and available data for off-channel diversion systems(Colorado <br /> Canal,Holbrook Canal and Ft Lyon Canal).Review of total diversions,various colors of water <br /> within system to improve consistency between data(e.g.,river diversions to irrigation,river <br /> diversions to storage,storage contents,storage release data,etc.).Review gage information related to <br /> Salt Creek tributary to support inclusion of tributary into model network. <br /> • Meeting with representatives of off-channel reservoir systems(Scott Campbell,Rob Barnhart and <br /> Manuel Torres)to introduce them to the WSRA Super Ditch Engineering effort and to better <br /> understand the current and historical operations of the respective systems and the historical data <br /> potentially available to support the StateMod modeling effort. <br /> • Review CSU graduate student's request for information related to metrics for determining extent of <br /> lease-fallowing for incorporation into CSU's selenium model. <br /> Comments/Concerns/Schedules <br /> I will be putting in requests,with Jack Goble's help,for data related to historical and current <br /> operations in the three off-channel ditch/reservoir companies located between Pueblo Reservoir and <br /> John Martin Reservoir.The companies have monthly Board Meetings and we will get the <br /> information requests prior to those meetings.Jack may attend the meetings to introduce himself and <br /> make the request. <br /> A Technical Advisory meeting for the Lease Fallowing Administration Tool is scheduled for August <br /> 2 in Denver.Jack and I will be attending. I have requested Andy Moore to extend the end date for <br /> the WSRA Grant to December 31,2013.
