Republican River Compact Rules <br />Principles and Findings <br />In order to comply with the Compact and the FSS, <br />Colorado must take additional measures in administering <br />the use of water within the Republican River Basin over <br />and above what it has already done. <br />The State Engineer has determined that curtailment of <br />consumptive use is necessary for Colorado to comply <br />with the Compact and the FSS and the curtailment must <br />focus upon diversions and other uses that will have an <br />immediate or relatively immediate positive impact. <br />Republican River Compact Rules <br />Curtailment Zone and Boundary <br />The Curtailment Zone Boundary is an extension of the <br />Three -Mile Band (imposed by the Colorado Ground <br />Water Commission on May 15, 1970) to include the major <br />river systems within Colorado's Republican River Bain: <br />♦North Fork of the Republican River <br />♦Chief Creek <br />+Arikaree River <br />+South Fork of the Republican River <br />+Landsman Creek <br />0 <br />
