EXEMPT WELLS: <br /> These wells are not administered and make up the class of permits usually <br /> for household use, livestock, commercial exempt and fire protection. <br /> RN1-948 Registered non-fee which means essentially domestic. This was <br /> the beginning of the permit process. These wells are shown as <br /> 948n in the well file. <br /> 1-148000 Exempt well permits. From 1972 to approximately 1983, this <br /> number series includes permits in augmentation plan <br /> subdivisions. The permits are valid for two years with the <br /> exception of those in the Designated Groundwater Basins which <br /> are valid for one year. <br /> 148000A This is an exempt replacement permit. When the replacement well <br /> is completed and the file is accepted, the A will be deleted and <br /> the permit number will revert back to the original number. <br /> 1-143600 Exempt wells for the most part. from 1972-1982augf plan wells <br /> were assigned this number and it is a two year permit. <br /> WELLS REGISTERED WITH THE WATER CONSERVATION BOARD: <br /> Between 1954 and 1957 wells were registered with the Water Conservation <br /> Board. These are mainly exempt wells, but many may be considered non-exempt. <br /> The wells are indexed by file number on microfilm and in ledger books, but are <br /> not on recorded on any computerized data base. The only way to find a <br /> specific registration is to know the owner's name at the time and or the <br /> address or location. It is very difficult to cross reference any existing <br /> well with this record system. The listing is is numeric within each county. <br /> These files are on microfiche and are located in the Information Services <br /> Section. <br />
