For observation well A15ES, the following parameter values are used in the
model to attain the most appropriate match: transmissivity, T, of 3750 m2 -d-1; aquifer
hydraulic conductivity, K, of 125 m -d-1; anisotropy ratio, K/KZ, of 7.8; specific storage,
Ss, of 2.5 x 10-4 m'1; specific yield, Sy, of 0.20; and a streambed hydraulic conductivity of
0.1 m -d "1. A comparison of the observed drawdown and the model predicted drawdown
with the above - mentioned parameter values is shown in Figure 6.
E
3
0.1
0
3
CU
L
r)
0.01
• Measured Drawdown
Curve -Fit with STRMAQ
10 100 1000 10000
Time, t (min)
Figure 6 — Comparison of measured drawdown at observation well A15ES during a
stream/aquifer analysis test at the Tamarack State Wildlife Area and predicted
drawdown by the STRMAQ model considering the influence of finite stream width
of the slough channel.
For observation well B2ES, the following parameter values are used in the model
to attain the most appropriate match: transmissivity, T, of 3900 m2 -d-1; aquifer hydraulic
conductivity, K, of 130 m -d-1; anisotropy ratio, K/KZ, of 8.1; specific storage, SS, of 2.7 x
104 M-1 ; specific yield, Sy, of 0.22; and a streambed hydraulic conductivity of 0.5 m -d -1.
A comparison of the observed drawdown at observation well B2ES and the model
predicted drawdown with the above - mentioned parameter values is shown in Figure 7.
10
