Memorandum
To:
Members of the Special Water Committee
From:
Kent Holsinger
Date:
February 22, 2000
Re:
Tentative Schedule for Tamarack
Three wells are pumping to recharge at Tamarack Ranch SWA as of today. By
the end of March, 2000, seven more wells will be drilled at Tamarack Ranch
SWA. With the 1006 proposal for 2000 -2001, another three wells could be drilled next
fall. This could give a total of 13 wells pumping for recharge and wildlife purposes by
the winter of 2001.
Provided adequate funding, we could conceivably do 5 to 10 wells per year. Seventeen
additional wells (for a total of 30) might be possible over the next 2 to 3 years (ie, 5 to 10
in 2001, 5 to 10 in 2002, finishing up at the latest in 2003). Some of these may be on
other State Wildlife Areas such as Red Lion and Pony Express. There may also be
opportunities on private lands and with ditch companies for more wells and excess
recharge potential.
