Colorado Water Conservation Board 1580 Logan Street, Suite 600 Denver, CO 80203 Re: Greeley Canal No. 3 Rehabilitation and Upgrade Project—Contract No. C150239 Dear Mr. Russell: Greeley Irrigation Company is requesting a one-year extension on Contract No. C150239. Following is information regarding the extension. The loan was to be used to rehabilitate and upgrade the Greeley Canal No. 3. The Company has completed various projects, including the main river diversion project, the Highway 34 structure, piping and reshaping portions of the ditch, installation of some measuring devices, and tree removal. The Company is requesting an additional year to complete three projects: 1. Repair of four headgates. Bids have been obtained for the installation of the headgates and the Board will review the bids at a meeting to be held January 6, 2014. The headgates will then be ordered. Depending on who the contract is awarded to, the work may be completed yet this winter, or it may not be done until this spring. In any event, the work will be completed by the end of April 2014. Total cost of the project should be between $4,000 and $5,500. 2. Measuring device at 4th Street return to the river. The State is requiring a new measuring device at 4th Street for augmentation use. Some engineering costs have been submitted to the CWCB and reimbursement has been received. One-half of the estimated construction costs have been submitted to the CWCB and reimbursement has been received. There were some problems with the headgate to be installed and the Company is waiting for receipt of a new headgate. It is anticipated that the new headgate will arrive mid to late January and installation can then proceed. Installation should be completed by the end of February. The remaining cost of the project is estimated at approximately $14,600. Lehi Water is installing the headgate; Wayne Eckas is the engineer.
