Box 1030 FAX 307-587-4357
Cody,WY 82414
October 23, 2014
URS Corporation
8181 East Tufts Avenue
Denver, CO 80237
Re:Continental Dam Rehabilitation—Phase II Proposal
Mr. Scott Jones,
The enclosed bid is predicated on the assumptions, exclusions, clarifications and comments herein. This
document shall be included in the Contract Agreement. All terms defined herein shall be considered binding
and shall govern over all contract documents issued to Moltz Constructors.
List of Assumptions within Costs and Approach
- Dewatering was removed ($40,000)
o The cost for dewatering was removed for the filter blanket work as the reservoir will be
drained per SEO direction. If dewatering is required we can provide on a T&M basis.
- Common Fill cost was reduced ($138,861)
o This cost was reduced with the understanding that it is acceptable to excavate material
onsite, screen to 3" minus, and use for common fill.
- Erosion &Sediment Control ($5,000)
o This cost was reduced because we have left over material from this season that can be
utilized for next year installation.
- Drain Gravel and Sand ($0.00)
o If Moltz can persuade CDOT to lower their royalty then processing the material closer to the
dam will result in additional savings which Moltz will pass on to SMRC.
Please see the revised bid schedule from the result of the above credit.
In conclusion, it is our intent to work with URS and SMRC to make sure that the project is successful and water
storage can commence next fall. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns. We
hope that our reduction shows our desire to complete this project. Thank you for the opportunity.
Respectfully,
Thomas P. Moltz
President
Moltz Constructors, Inc.
