PRRIP—ED OFFICE DRAFT 06/13/2014 <br /> 44 Welcome&Administrative <br /> 45 LaBonde called the meeting to order at 2:00 p.m. Mountain Time. LaBonde announced that the <br /> 46 Pathfinder account is full and that water is available to the Program. The group proceeded with <br /> 47 introductions. <br /> 48 <br /> 49 Schneider moved to approve the March 2014 GC minutes;Strauch seconded. Minutes approved. <br /> 50 <br /> 51 Program Committee Updates <br /> 52 Land Advisory Committee (LAC) <br /> 53 Czaplewski provided an update on the latest LAC activities. The LAC met via conference call on June 6 <br /> 54 and discussed action on Tract 1402 and a report from the Public Access subcommittee. The next LAC <br /> 55 meeting is July 29 in Kearney. <br /> 56 <br /> 57 Water Advisory Committee (WAC) <br /> 58 Sartori provided an update on the latest WAC activities. The WAC met on May 6 in Gothenburg and <br /> 59 discussed Water Action Plan items, a water service agreement for the Phelps Canal recharge project, <br /> 60 water leasing opportunities, an update on the hydroclimatic indices report, the annual flow summary <br /> 61 report, the ET monitoring plan for wet meadows, a Nebraska DNR report on sandpit impacts on river <br /> 62 flow, and depletions plans. The next WAC meeting is August 12 in Ogallala. <br /> 63 <br /> 64 Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) <br /> 65 Sellers provided an update on the latest TAC activities. The TAC met jointly with the ISAC on April 22- <br /> 66 23 in Omaha. The first agenda item was a discussion about PRRIP tern and plover monitoring activities. <br /> 67 The rest of the discussion focused on the tern and plover synthesis chapters developed by the EDO. The <br /> 68 group conducted a field trip of the lower Platte River on April 23. The ISAC met alone on April 24 and <br /> 69 will report their findings later today. <br /> 70 <br /> 71 Finance Committee (FC) <br /> 72 Campbell provided an update on the latest FC activities. The FC had a conference call on June 3 and <br /> 73 recommended moving the ISR contract on to the GC for approval, approved additional work on the <br /> 74 Shoemaker Island FSM project, and approved preparation of manuscripts related to vegetation research <br /> 75 on the central Platte that will be brought back to the GC for review and publication approval. <br /> 76 <br /> 77 Program Outreach Update <br /> 78 PRESENTATIONS <br /> 79 • Jerry Kenny and Bridget Barron represented the Program at the Missouri River Workshop of <br /> 80 America's Watershed Initiative(AWI)Report Card Project held in Rapid City, South Dakota on May <br /> 81 22 and 23, 2014. AWI conducted workshops in each of the sub-basins of the Mississippi River in <br /> 82 order to develop a report card for the entire Mississippi River Basin. The draft report card will be <br /> 83 presented at the AWI Summit in Louisville,Kentucky on September 30th through October 2,2014. <br /> 84 <br /> 85 EXHIBITS/SPONSORSHIPS <br /> 86 • The Program exhibited at Audubon's Nebraska Crane Festival (formerly known as Rivers & Wildlife <br /> 87 Celebration)in Kearney,Nebraska on March 22, 2014. We made 206 contacts. <br /> 88 • The Program was a sponsor of the Nebraska Natural Resources Districts Envirothon State <br /> 89 Competition on May 3, 2014. The Envirothon has high school teams competing in seven areas of <br /> 90 environmental studies; soils, aquatics, forestry,wildlife,range, and current environmental policy.
