5. Additionally, the estimated cost of work specified
in the WCB study exceeded $1 ,000 ,000. The actual
cost of the remedial work was less than 20% of the
above cost.
As a result of our review, it is impossible to agree that the
location of the entire embankment vis-a-vis the stream as
well as the absence of a chimney drain and the addition of a
major stability berm are inconsequential points of difference
while clearing of trees and undergrowth and the seeding and
mulching of ground are points of significant correspondence.
We, therefore , ask for information regarding an avenue of
appeal to the findings and conclusions included in your letter
of January 25 , 1984 .
