DRAFT <br /> JOINT RESOLUTION NO. <br /> AUTHORIZING THE COLORADO WATER RESOURCES AND <br /> POWER DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY TO PROCEED WITH THE <br /> CONSIDERATION OF A SATELLITE MONITORING NETWORK. <br /> WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Resources and Power Development <br /> Authority has caused to be prepared a feasibility study of a <br /> satellite monitoring network for stream gaging stations in <br /> Colorado; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board has, pursuant <br /> to section 37-95-107, Colorado Revised Statutes 1973 , reviewed <br /> said feasibility study and forwarded the same to the General <br /> Assembly together with its recomendation thereon; and <br /> 01,675 <br /> WHEREAS, the implementation of a satellite monitoring f ' <br /> IC <br /> network would preserve, protect, and conserve the water resources _yr: : :r; <br /> of the State; promote the beneficial use of the waters of the <br /> State for the protection and preservation of the public health, <br /> safety, and welfare; create and preserve jobs and employment <br /> opportunities; and improve the economic welfare of the people of <br /> the State; and <br /> WHEREAS, the General Assembly deems a satellite monitoring <br /> network to be in the interests of and to the advantage of the <br /> people of the State; <br /> 190 <br /> res <br /> (over) <br />
