1 by law or appropriation, to be in the public interest and of <br /> 2 benefit to the state. <br /> 3 37-96-102. Tax levy. Commencing with the 1985 property <br /> 4 tax year and annually thereafter, there shall be levied and <br /> 5 collected, in addition to any tax assessed on or after January <br /> 6 1, 1985, for the fund, a state property tax equal to one mill <br /> 7 on each and every dollar of valuation for assessment of <br /> 8 property within this state. Said taxes shall be assessed and <br /> 9 collected in the same manner and at the same time as is <br /> 10 provided by law for the assessment and collection of other <br /> 11 property taxes and, when so collected, shall be transmitted to <br /> 12 the state treasurer, who shall credit the same to the fund. <br /> 13 SECTION 2. 24-35-210 (4) (b), Colorado Revised Statutes, <br /> 14 1982 Repl.
