9 <br /> 1 fiscal years after the date of designation, and notice of the • <br /> 2 completion and availability of such plans shall be published in <br /> 3 the Federal Register. For rivers designated nated <br /> in subparagraphs <br /> 4 (1) through (50) inclusive, all boundaries, classifications, and <br /> 5 plans completed as of the date of enactment of this subsection <br /> 6 shall be valid and shall be reviewed for conformity with the <br /> 7 requirements of this subsection within eight years through <br /> 8 regular agency planning processes. Notice of modifications to <br /> 9 the boundaries and classifications for designated rivers shall <br /> 10 be published in the Federal Register as provided in subsec- <br /> 11 tion (b) of this section.". <br /> 12 SEC. 304. Add a new subsection 3(c)(ii) as follows: <br /> 13 "(c)(ii) For rivers designated in subparagraphs (51) <br /> 14 through (58) of section 3(a), no money shall be appropriated <br /> 15 for the acquisition of lands or interests in lands until the corn- <br /> 16 prehensive management plan required by this subsection is <br /> 17 prepared: Provided, That there is authorized to be appropri- <br /> .18 ated such sums from the Land and Water Conservation Fund <br /> 19 as may be necessary for the acquisition of lands and interests <br /> 20 in lands identified for acquisition by the comprehensive man- <br /> 21 agement plans for said rivers, and for interim emergency ac- <br /> 22 quisitions of lands or interests in lands as determined by the <br /> 23 appropriate Secretary to be necessary to protect the values of <br /> 24 said rivers, but such sums for emergency acquisitions shall <br /> 25 not exceed a total of $500,000 for each of said rivers.". • <br /> S 1084 IS <br />
