Instream Flow Program, Ratify Stipulations

Case No. 1-80CW379, South Boulder Creek, Instream Flow
Appropriation, from outlet of Gross
Reservoir to South Boulder Road .
It is believed that a stipulation has been formulated which
is agreeable to all parties involved; i.e. , CWCB staff, DOW,
Denver Water Board, Boulder Flycasters Chapter of Trout
Unlimited, Farmers Reservoir and Irrigation Company, the Water
User ' s Association of District No. 6, the City of Lafayette, and
the City of Louisville. All parties have agreed to the stipula-
tion in principle . However, at this date not all parties have
signed the stipulation.
In general terms the stipulation contains the following
items :
1 . The winter flow (October 1 - April 30) was reduced from
6 cfs to 2 cfs for the reach from the USGS stream gage
near Eldorado Springs to South Boulder Road . The upper
reach remained unchanged at 6 cfs. This reduction in
flow is based upon a determination of water avail-
ability.
2 . Undecreed exchanges between Farmers Reservoir and
Irrigation Company and the Denver Water Board are
acknowledged, as are exchanges by the City of
Lafayette.
