S. Geological Survey and the Federal <br /> w <br /> Power Commission have nothing that requires further con- <br /> sideration. <br /> Before we proceed on that basis, Mr. Vidal--and I an <br /> not saying it is not the logical basis--I am wondering whether <br /> we could not accomplish the same thing if we started going <br /> through here paragraph by paragraph in sequence, and then <br /> take up the pertinent notes by the Chief of Engineers when <br /> we get to the paragraph that they relate to, thereby clearing <br /> up the minor with the major problems as we proceed. <br /> I might add this, that I have given this document con- <br /> siderable additional study in the light of the comments re- <br /> ceived from the Federal agencies and from the independent <br /> review I am...tryiag_ to easy that I propose to raise some <br /> questions--not necessarily matters of substance, but questions <br /> that as we now have it drafted are not covered by any com- <br /> munication.s before us, and I take it that there may be other <br /> commissioners here present who will see fit to offer comments, <br /> improvements or criticism of this document as we proceed.
