You will recall at Our last meeting <br /> 0 <br /> I reported that I had contacted that agency and was expecting <br /> such oommunioation from them, and that actually has happened. <br /> I am not cluttering our record with the copies of m <br /> correspondence. I furnished a copy of the suggested lang- <br /> uage to the secretary, who in turn distributed it with the <br /> proper notation of paragraphs to fit our draft paragraphing, <br /> to all the members of the commission. The commission there- <br /> fore has for consideration when we get to it in orderly se- <br /> quence the language mentioned by the U. S. G. S. to cover <br /> the general subject of stream gaging. <br /> I also want to report to the commission for its infor- <br /> mation that I have made an engagement with Col. Gilliam, <br /> the District Engineer of Albuquerque, and the members of his <br /> staff to meet me next Monday and go over John Martin Dam <br /> with him to reacquaint myself with some of the details, and <br /> also have preliminary discussion of pertinent features of <br /> our Compact draft that will be of primary concern to the <br /> corps of engineers. <br /> I am doing that informally at this juncture in prepar- <br /> ation for the more formal review by the chief of engineers <br /> when our Compact is farther along. <br /> Concerning the matter of our committees, it appears <br /> that our engineering committee and the legal affairs corm- <br />
