We o
might as well cover it and complete it.
One other conference discussion that I had in Washington
I would like to report upon. I met with Ur. Paulson, the
chief hydraulic engineer of the United States Geological
Survey, Department of the Interior. I oontinued the die-.
oussion which I had initiated a few months before regarding
probable needs for stream gaging activities on the part of
the Geological Survey. Mr. Paulson is prepared to meet
with the engineering representatives of this Commission, at
any time that is mutually agreed upon, to work out the
problem of the Stateline station and any other matters that
affect the Geological Survey. Be will arrange to have Mr.
Follansbee, the District Engineer here in Denver, and any
other person necessary for the discussion of this problem
meetwith us.
It is my thought that when Mr. Patterson is back in
circulation with us, the Engineering Committee, Mr. Knapp,
Mr. Patterson, and myself, will formulate a tentative
program for a meeting with the Geological Survey this spring,
the purpose of that timing being to enable the Geological
:purvey to utilize some funds available during this fiscal
year which expires June 30, and which might otherwise lapse.
