That subjest
is now open for further disoussion.
MR, KJAPPm May I speak on that just a moment? o
CHAIRMAN AN KRAMER: Certainly.
1 , KNAPPi The Committee on Engineering is now eta
gaged in studying the effect of the reservation of that pool NI
upon the water supply of the basin from the standpoint parto*►
ularly of the additional evaporation losses that would be oc
aasioned in the reservoir from the standpoint, among other
things, of the effect on flood spills.
It would seem to me that in due season that material,
in the report of this Committee as referred to in its progress
report this morning, that report being laid before the Come
mission,, the Commission would then be in a much better shape
to reach a conclusion on that request than it is now, and that
that matter might well ride along until those studies are oom-
gaoted.
I do not believe the Fish and Wildlife Berrioe needs
an answer on that request this month or next month. But it is
a foot that we are laying the foundation by the study now under
ray for the Commission to be able to deal with that question.
i wonder if it is not as well to pass over that until
the Commission has the Committee's report on the effect on
water supplies of the use of that pool.
CHAIRMAN t Rx That is the way it strikes me.
