UP&B owns 36 shares of the 10,020 outstanding shares of the Riverside Reservoir and Land <br /> Company ("Riverside"). These shares entitle UP&B to a proportionate share of the storage water <br /> rights controlled by Riverside. The generated <br /> credits are allocated to Riverside stockholders, including UP&B, on a pro rata basis. Riverside <br /> operates several recharge plans, including those adjudicated in Cases No. 88CW264, 89CW27, <br /> and 88CW239. <br /> UP&B owns 50 shares of the 261 outstanding shares of the Morgan-Prewitt Reservoir Company. <br /> These shares entitle UP&B to a proportionate share of the starage water rights controlled by <br /> Morgan-Prewitt,which owns 6/31 of the water rights decreed to Prewitt Reservoir as follows: <br /> Appropriation Date Adjudication Date Amount(acre-feet) <br /> May 25, 1910 January 5, 1922 32,300 <br /> December 31, 1929 October 18, 1965 34,960 <br /> Since Prewitt Reservoir is downstream of the UP&B headgate, UP&B's Morgan-Prewitt water is <br /> delivered to the UP&B canal by exchange. The use of this exchange water for irrigation was <br /> decreed in Case No. 90CW183. <br /> Recharge Rights. UP&B has two recharge water rights. The Senior Recharge Right was decreed <br /> in Case No. W-2968 for 234.17 cfs with an appropriation date of June 12, 1972. UP&B has a <br /> plan for augmentation of wells which was originally decreed in Case No. W-2968. In Case No. <br /> 02CW401,the augmentation plan was amended so that the Reservoir Rights listed in paragraph <br /> 3.1.2 can be used for augmentation,replacement and recharge uses and so that UP&B can use 20 <br /> wells as augmentation wells as needed. UP&B also has a Junior Recharge Right, decreed in Case <br /> No. 10CW298,that enables additional diversions to recharge. UP&B applied to the court on <br /> March 20, 2014 to add the Hospital Road Pond to the augmentation plan per the requirements set <br /> out in Case No. 02CW401. <br /> 3.2 Water Demands <br /> has a total service area of approximately 10,000 acres.
